Here at Sunny Creek Labs we have between 3-4 litters a year. Depending on the year, time of the year, we may have more or less. Females who live together will also cycle together, so it is not uncommon for us to have more than one litter on ground at a time, or one shortly after another. We devote our whole time to each litter, each puppy, practicing the Neurological Stimulation Program on each puppy (See below for description). We know how excited each family is on seeing them grow so we post a lot of photos along the way on our Sunny Creek Labs facebook page, also Instagram "Sunnycreeklabmom" so you can follow along and watch them grow.
All breeding dogs have been Genetic tested, along with OFA's on Hips, Elbows and Eyes. We Guarantee all our puppies will never be "Affected" from the following diseases known to Labs we test the parents for. PRA, CNM, DM, HNPK, EIC and CT. (See below for descriptions). (Exercise-Induced Collapse, Centronuclear Myopathy, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis, Degenerative Myelopathy and Copper Toxicosis).

If you are in a hurry for a puppy, I am not the breeder for you. All good things take time and lots of planning.
Puppies stay here with us for 8 weeks. It gives them time to adjust to life without Mom & much is learned playing with Siblings and Big Dogs. They have lots of stimulation and learning. It’s very important for our puppies to go home on time! Puppies need to start bonding with you, continue to work on potty training, and learn how to be a good member of the family. We allow 3 days after puppy is 8 weeks old to be picked up. After that we Charge $100.00 a day for Puppy Boarding and Puppy Care.
We now require families to register their puppies and their microchips with the AKC. Registration of your puppy and his/her microchip is a one time fee of $47.50 All puppies must carry our kennel name "Sunny Creek" in the prefix of the dog's registered name.
All puppies are limited registration (no breeding rights) We sell our pups on a Limited Registration, which means you can achieve ALL AKC titles except show in the conformation ring or use for breeding.
Labs come in 3 colors, Yellow, Black & Chocolate. Yellow Labs have a range of yellow from very light yellow to a dark yellow some call Red Fox.
We accept a $500.00 deposit to add you to our Puppy Deposit list and to hold a puppy for you, after the approval of your puppy questionnaire.
**Balance due when puppies are 6 weeks old. At pick up times and Gotcha days I enjoy visiting with families and getting to know you, talking about the needs of your new puppy, what to expect when you get home and it's one less thing to do. Any questions, you can email at sunnycreeklabs@gmail.com

We will however meet you at the airport if you so choose to fly and your puppy can fly home with you as a "CARRY-ON" inside the cabin only. You will have to purchase a One-way ticket for your puppy. Cost is about $150. You will need to check with the airlines ahead of time as they only allow so many dogs/puppies on a plane at one time. *After your puppy is 16 weeks of age and has received all his/her recommended vaccinations, we strongly suggest you located a Beginner puppy class, enroll and take your new puppy through several classes. Lab puppies benefit greatly from training, it also helps with bonding, socializing and helps them become a better family member. How we are different:
*Our puppies are from Health Tested Parents.
*We spend an enormous amount of time with our puppies to give them the best start possible in life. We also practice Neurological Stimulation Program. In an effort to improve the performance of dogs used for military purposes, a program called "Bio Sensor" was developed. It became known to the public as the "Super Dog" Program. The military learned that early neurological stimulation exercises could have important and lasting effects. Its development utilized five exercises which were designed to stimulate the neurological system. The workouts required handling them one at a time while performing a series of five exercises. The handler completes the series from beginning to end before starting with the next pup. The handling of each pup once per day and last 3 to 5 seconds.
The handling of each pup once per day involves the following exercises:
Tactical stimulation (between toes)
Head held erect
Head pointed down
Supine position
Thermal stimulation
Tactile stimulation
Tactile stimulation - holding the pup in one hand, the handler gently stimulates (tickles) the pup between the toes on any one foot using a Q-tip. It is not necessary to see that the pup is feeling the tickle. Time of stimulation 3 - 5 seconds.
Head held erect - using both hands, the pup is held perpendicular to the ground, (straight up), so that its head is directly above its tail. This is an upwards position. Time of stimulation 3 - 5 seconds.
Head pointed down - holding the pup firmly with both hands the head is reversed and is pointed downward so that it is pointing towards the ground. Time of stimulation 3 - 5 seconds.
Supine position - hold the pup so that its back is resting in the palm of both hands with its muzzle facing the ceiling. The pup while on its back is allowed to sleep. Time of stimulation 3-5 seconds.
Thermal stimulation—use a damp towel that has been cooled in a refrigerator for at least five minutes. Place the pup on the towel, feet down. Do not restrain it from moving. Time of stimulation 3-5 seconds
Benefits of StimulationFive benefits have been observed in canines that were exposed to the Bio Sensor stimulation exercises. The benefits noted were:
Improved cardio vascular performance (heart rate)
Stronger heart beats
Stronger adrenal glands
More tolerance to stress
Greater resistance to disease
*We also do early potty training. By the time your puppy is ready for his/her home, he/she will be potty trained to go in a potty pan. We feel like this is an early start in the potty training process. They learn to not use the bathroom in the area in which they sleep and play. We have gotten reports of easy potty training when our puppies go to their new homes.
*We provide an enormous amount of early socializing with children, adult Labs, cats and an overwhelming amount of toys, activity centers, peek-a-boo tunnels, slides, ball pits, musical instruments. We feel the more the puppy is exposed to, the better adjusted he is going to his new home. We have music playing constantly in the background. Lots of exposure to environmental stimulation. I devote all my time to each puppy, each litter to ensure they have the best start in life as possible and hopefully you have a more trainable dog.
*I post a lot of photos and video's on my Facebook Puppy Page and also Instagram @sunnycreeklabmom so you can watch your puppy daily grow and change daily. We know how exciting it is to be bringing home a new puppy, we want you to experience as much as possible. I also will text, email photos if you are not on Social Media. All of these things are an effort to include you in every aspect of your new puppy and his beginnings.
*Our Labs come from show quality lines, have great pedigrees, able to hunt, great all around family dog. We believe they do best living right in the home with families. The price of our puppies reflect the Quality of our Labrador Retrievers. (Initial cost is a fraction of what will be spent on your dog over the course of his/her life. This Pet will be with you for the next 10 to 15 years, commitment to his/her welfare is key)
*Recommended Puppy Chew bones/toys. I personally use Nylabones, Benebones, West Paw Design & Kong toys.
